Supreme Warrior Championship 6 - Shock & Awe

May 23rd 2009 a packed MMA day for fans of the sport in the Metroplex. With SWC in Frisco, TAMMA featuring an event in Arlington at Cowboys and UFC headliner Evans vs. Machida and grudge match Hughes vs. Serra on the MMA menu for the evening fight fans had to make some choices. Tivos do come in handy and off we went to Frisco for “Shock and Awe”. The fights got on their way around 7:30pm and the first one did not go very long. After a Quick triangle choke by Ortega the fight was stopped by the referee in the first round. The second and third fight did not last much longer and were ended by knock out. The fourth fight ended in the first round as well due to submission and before we knew it half the evening was already over. The crowd loved the knock outs and was ready for more action. They didn’t have to wait long. After the short break the crowd got another first round knockout served. Only one fight of the evening went to the sore cards and only two actually made it past the first round. All in all it was a great evening and we always enjoy being guests at SWC in Frisco. Bloody Knuckles Promotion calls to “The Cowtown Beatdown”

The place for the show down was the Historic Cowtown Coliseum on Thursday April 16, 2009 in the Fort Worth, Texas Stockyards District. Where typically cowboys fight four legged beasts a cage stood awaiting the modern day warriors to do battle. The event was professionally orchestrated. The fighters came from around the country to show their talent in the coliseum and presented everything from Knockouts to Submissions. At intermission a bikini contest and free t-shirts from the ring girls made the evening a well rounded MMA show. The crowd definitely got their moneys worth. Dominant Knockout 1 Irving Texas

Cage-Fights.com headed out to Irving Texas to visit the 1st edition of Dominant Knockout. This event was a mixed event that featured both Mixed Martial Art and Muay Thai fights. The Global Fighting Promotions did a great job on their first venue from ticket handling to refreshments and most important great match up fights. Although the night was very Muay Thai heavy with only two scheduled MMA fights it was a great show that any MMA fan would appreciate.
