Former Invicta FC champion Michelle Waterson has had one heck of a career so far, and Saturday she could pick up arguably her biggest win yet.

Nearly three years after she first headlined a UFC event, Waterson (17-6 MMA, 5-2 UFC) returns to take on former dominant women’s strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk (15-3 MMA, 9-3 UFC) in the UFC on ESPN+ 19 main event at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Fla. The card streams on ESPN+.

Until now, Waterson’s biggest win probably was her Invicta atomweight title victory over Jessica Penne in April 2013. A little more than two years later, she made her way to the UFC as a strawweight, and in just her second fight with the promotion headlined UFC on FOX 25 and submitted Paige VanZant.

After a two-fight skid to eventual champion Rose Namajunas and Tecia Torres, Waterson has bounced back nicely with three straight wins over Cortney Casey, Felice Herrig and Karolina Kowalkiewicz.

But a win over Jedrzejczyk might be her biggest to date, not only in name value against a former champ, but because it could put her next in line for a title shot.

Ahead of the headliner in Florida, check out Waterson’s most recent win in the video above – a dominant scorecard sweep of Kowalkiewicz at UFC on ESPN 2 in March in Philadelphia.

Then don’t miss her fight with another Polish standout, Jedrzejczyk, in the UFC on ESPN+ 19 main event.
