Kayla Harrison signs multi-year PFL contract extension: ‘I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else’

One of the faces of PFL, Kayla Harrison won’t be going anywhere else for the foreseeable future.

In a video posted on ESPN’s social media accounts Thursday, Harrison (5-0 MMA) announced that she has signed a multi-year contract extension with the promotion.

“I’m super excited to be signing a multi-fight deal with the PFL,” Harrison said in the video. “This has been my home since the beginning in MMA. Because of them, I’ve been able to come so far.

“The women’s MMA platform has grown tremendously. They’ve made it completely equal for men and women. We all have the opportunity to fight for $1 million. Not only that, but I’m going to become one of, if not the, highest paid females in MMA. I’m super excited to be part of Team PFL. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. This is only the beginning.”

The news comes just one day before Harrison’s first PFL playoff fight on Friday night at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. Her bout against Genah Fabian (2-1 MMA) serves as the headliner for PFL Playoffs 1, which airs on ESPN 2 after prelims on ESPN+.

A former Olympic gold medalist in judo, Harrison has been unbeatable in her MMA career to date. Since her debut in July 2018, Harrison has won all five contests she’s competed in with four finishes in that stretch.
