Video: Road to the Bellator welterweight grand prix final
The Bellator welterweight grand prix was announced last August. More than a year later, it reaches its conclusion this weekend.
Headlining Bellator 232, welterweight champion Rory MacDonald and Douglas Lima will run it back in a rematch of their Bellator 192 title fight won by MacDonald. This time, though, the stakes are raised even higher, as the winner will walk away with the welterweight and tournament title belts, as well as the $1 million grand prize.
Bellator 232 takes place Saturday at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., and streams on DAZN following prelims on MMA Junkie.
The tournament began in September 2018 with an eight-man field consisting of MacDonald, Lima, Paul Daley, Jon Fitch, Neiman Gracie, Andrey Koreshkov, Michael Page, and Ed Ruth. All that remains are those first two names.
