UFC development deal signee Chase Hooper to debut against Daniel Teymur at UFC 245

Chase Hooper is finally making the jump.

A signee of a UFC development deal Hooper (8-0-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) will take on Daniel Teymur (7-3 MMA, 1-3 UFC) at UFC 245.

Teymur confirmed the booking in an Instagram story after the bout was added to ESPN.com on Saturday.

UFC 245 takes place Dec. 14 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN and ESPN+/UFC Fight Pass.

After a decision victory at a Dana White’s Contender Series event in July 2018, Hooper was signed to a UFC development deal. Then 18, Hooper defeated Canaan Kawaihae by unanimous decision.

Since DWCS, Hooper has tacked two wins onto his record while competing for UFC Fight Pass-broadcast promotions CFFC, Island Fights and Titan FC.

His opponent, Sweden’s Teymur, picked up his first UFC victory at UFC on ESPN+ 11 in June after losing his first three promotional bouts.

For the majority of three rounds, Teymur dominated opponent Sung Bin Jo en route to an unanimous decision victory.

The latest UFC 245 card now includes:
