One of Greg Hardy’s most outspoken critics has been none other than fellow Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Heavyweight contender, Derrick Lewis. “Black Beast’s” disdain toward the former NFL defensive end stems from Greg’s past domestic violence accusations.

And while there was a time that Derrick wanted to end Hardy’s UFC career before it began, all he wants now is for “The Prince of War” to leave the promotion once and for all in order to stop making everyone look bad.

“No not at all,” said Derrick during a recent media scrum in regards to wanting Lewis to defeat Alexander Volkov at UFC Fight Night 164 this Saturday (Nov. 9, 2019) so he can get his hands on him. “I want Greg Hardy to get his ass out up of the UFC. He’s making everyone else look bad. So, we don’t need him to win no more fights.”

Greg’s UFC career thus far has been hot and cold. In his debut back in January, he was disqualified after clipping Allen Crowder with some illegal knees. Hardy then came right back and scored back-to-back first round knockout wins over Dmitry Smolyakov and Juan Adams (highlights).

Soon thereafter, Greg defeated Ben Sosoli at UFC on ESPN 6 via unanimous decision. However, his win was quickly overturned to a “No Contest” after he used an inhaler in between rounds two and three.

A couple days after that, the former NFL wrecking machine called for and received his chance to step in and face Alexander Volkov in Moscow, Russia after Junior dos Santos As far as his chances against Volkov, a man Lewis has already knocked out, Hardy doesn’t stand much of chance without his inhaler, says Derrick.

“They got on to him now, so I don’t think his ass can bring an inhaler to the cage to help him this time,” Lewis said of Hardy. “So I don’t think he’ll win.”

Indeed, UFC vice president of athlete health and performance, Jeff Novitzky, recently revealed that Hardy would not be able to use his inhaler in Moscow, despite the fact that UFC is regulating the event itself. Nevertheless, if “Prince of War’ Can pull off the upset over “Drago” it can go a long way in silencing his critics.

The Volkov bout will be Hardy’s fifth fight inside the Octagon in just 11 months.
