Francis Ngannou calls out Alexander Volkov after UFC on ESPN+ 21 win over Greg Hardy

Francis Ngannou wants a piece of Alexander Volkov after UFC on ESPN+ 21.

Following Volkov’s (31-7 MMA, 5-1 UFC) unanimous decision victory over Greg Hardy in Saturday’s co-headliner at CSKA Arena in Moscow, Ngannou (14-3 MMA, 9-2 UFC) took to social media and called for a showdown with the Russian.

Ngannou, who has been looking for a fight since it was revealed the heavyweight title would be tied up with a Stipe Miocic vs. Daniel Cormier trilogy, claims Volkov has been avoiding a fight with him. He said it’s time for that to change (via Twitter):

Ngannou is riding a three-fight winning streak, all of which came by first-round knockout, and has a strong argument to fight for the belt. The UFC has other plans, though, and “The Predator” has since pursued multiple other options, including calling out boxing champion Tyson Fury.

He added Volkov’s name to the list after UFC on ESPN+ 21.
