Video: LaRosa Subdues Anti-Trump Protester

Mixed martial arts (MMA) pioneer Tara LaRosa, a former contestant on season 18 of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF), made headlines over the weekend for her role in a flag-waving rally over Interstate 84 in Portland, Oregon.

It was designed to be a peaceful demonstration in support of U.S. veterans.

“Toward the end of our day, a woman came up and started berating us,” LaRosa wrote on Twitter. “She didn’t get a reaction from me so she moved on and attacked another woman in our group. I had to break up a fight and put her down till the cops came. I had just started live streaming.”

LaRosa suffered bite wounds following the altercation.

“There are conflicting versions of the events, so we are gathering all of the information we can and referring it to the district attorney,” Portland Police Sgt. Kevin Allen told The Oregonian.

LaRosa, 41, has not competed since her unanimous decision win over Katie Howard under the Fusion Fight League (FFL) banner back in May 2015.
