While Jorge Masvidal isn’t quite sure what his next move will be after a breakout year in 2019, though he has several potential options on the table. There is, of course, a rematch against Nate Diaz, or perhaps a showdown against Nick Diaz, which has been picking up steam over the last month or so.

Then there is a potential showdown against Conor McGregor, which is the hardest fight to lock down by far.

And of course, after defeating Ben Askren and Nate this year, “Gambred” set himself nicely to face the winner of the upcoming title fight between Kamaru Usman and Colby Covington, set to go down this Saturday night (Dec. 14, 2019) in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“Should it be journeyman Jorge Masvidal? Should it be GSP? Should it be (Khabib Nurmagomedov) “Kabob?” Should it be that Irish leprechaun that couldn’t even knock a drunk dude, old dude off a stool in the bar?” he added. “Who should it be? Who? Masvidal? Looks like it’s going to be ‘Street Judas; Journeyman Jorge.’”

The history between these two men is well-documented, and despite their growing beef, they both still train at American Top Team (ATT), albeit at different times or different parts of the gym.

Before a fight between the two even hits UFC matchmaker’s desks, Colby has to come out on top against Usman, which is far from an easy task. With a loss, not only does a potential scrap against Jorge go out the window, but “Chaos” will have to start his ascension back to the top in a very competitive weight class.
