Video: UFC’s ‘Decade in Review’ Looks Back At 2012 And 2013

In the latest installments of Ultimate Fighting Championship’s “Decade in Review” series, the promotion highlights some of the most electrifying moments that took place inside the Octagon in 2012 and 2013.

Both years provide fight fans plenty of highlights to relive over and over, and several occasions that were monumental for the promotion’s growth over the past decade, including Edson Barboza’s spectacular spinning kick knockout over Terry Etim in 2012, as well as Khabib Nurmagomedov’s UFC debut in January of 2012. Plus, the Flyweight division was created that year and despite reports of plans to terminate it this year, it is still going strong.

In 2013, the promotion was introduced to a couple of the biggest superstars its ever had on the roster, as Conor McGregor made his debut in April of that year, knocking out Marcus Brimage in the very first round. A month later, Ronda Rousey and Liz Carmouche took part in the first-ever women’s fight inside the Octagon, as “Rowdy” defended her Bantamweight title via first round armbar.

Also, Chris Weidman pulled off perhaps the biggest upset of all time in MMA, knocking out Anderson Silva at UFC 162. Plus, Amanda Nunes made her debut in 2013, while Jon Jones and Alexander Gustafsson put on a battle for the ages at UFC 165.
