McGregor Denies Sexual Assault Allegations

Steve Flynn-USA TODAY Sports

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) “champ-champ,” Conor McGregor, was the center of two separate sexual assault allegations back in 2019, both of which “Notorious” and his team vehemently deny.

That said, the power-punching Irishman hasn’t done a ton of press during his 15-month mixed martial arts (MMA) hiatus and has never been directly confronted with the questions by the combat sports media during the rare times that he does grant an interview.

That is, until his recent sit-down with ESPN’s Ariel Helwani, who asked him face-to-face if the accusations were indeed false.

McGregor was also accused of fathering a child with another woman a few years back, but DNA evidence exonerated “Notorious” and proved he was not the father. Still, the lingering backlash from those accusations took a toll on his family.

“Two and a half years that situation was going on for, so that one was a tough one for a while,” McGregor said. “It is what it is, there you go, it’s not mine.”
