The UFC’s first pay-per-view of the year takes place Saturday with UFC 246, and the promotion’s popular “Embedded” series returns to get you ready.
UFC 246 takes place Saturday at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN and early prelims on UFC Fight Pass/ESPN+.
In the main event, former simultaneous featherweight and lightweight champion Conor McGregor (21-4 MMA, 9-2 UFC) returns after a 15-month absence to take on Donald Cerrone (36-13 MMA, 23-10 UFC) in a welterweight bout. In the co-feature, former women’s bantamweight champ Holly Holm (12-5 MMA, 5-5 UFC) meets Raquel Pennington (10-7 MMA, 7-4 UFC).
The fourth episode of “Embedded” follows the big-name stars at the top of the card as they arrive in Las Vegas. Here’s the UFC’s description:
On Episode 4 of UFC 246 Embedded, headliner Conor McGregor takes questions and photos. Bantamweight Raquel Pennington sweats out the effects of a long flight while opponent Holly Holm clocks familiar names on the Ultimate Fighter jersey wall. Fans pack the Palms for a press conference between McGregor and the fittingly-dressed Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone, with football star Chad Ochocinco in attendance. UFC 246 Embedded is an all-access, behind-the-scenes video blog leading up to the return of Conor McGregor on Saturday, January 18th.
