Khabib Clowns McGregor With Submission Hat Trick

After stopping Donald Cerrone in the UFC 246 main event last weekend in Las Vegas, Conor McGregor bragged about setting a new record by scoring knockout wins at featherweight, lightweight, and welterweight, two of which resulted in a division title.

Not surprisingly, longtime rival and reigning 155-pound kingpin, Khabib Nurmagomedov, used that little piece of trivia to post another “Notorious” record, as the power-punching Irishman has also been submitted at featherweight, lightweight, and welterweight.

“King has never left, he’s not going anywhere,” Nurmagomedov wrote on his social media channels.

Despite finishing McGregor at UFC 229 back in October 2018, UFC President Dana White is hellbent on making the championship rematch, even with more lucrative fights in the queue. That would require Nurmagomedov to first defeat Tony Ferguson when they go to war at UFC 249 in April.

Whether or not McGregor takes a fight in the interim remains to be seen.
