Current Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Light Heavyweight champion, Jon Jones, is considered to be the best pound-for-pound best fighter in mixed martial arts (MMA) today thanks to his dominate run at 205 pounds which has seen him earn 10 title defenses so far.

“No matter how many wins he gets, no matter how many titles he wins, he can’t get out of his own way. He’s just not a good person.”

Jon’s troubles outside of the Octagon are well-documented, as are his complications with United States Anti Doping Agency (USADA) which have not only cast a black cloud over the dominant champion, but prevented him from increasing his resume that much more.

Still, Jones is adamant he is doing his best to stay on the straight and narrow, and this coming year will be his chance to not only add to his legacy inside the Octagon, but prove that he can stay out of his own way outside of it. If he continues to stay on the right path, then perhaps Jones can, in fact, reach the level of Jordan and Ali. Unless you think he’s there already?

Jones and Reyes are set to collide this Saturday night (Feb. 8, 2020) in the main event of UFC 247 in Houston, Texas, which will air exclusively on ESPN+ pay-per-view (PPV).

Remember that MMAmania.com will deliver LIVE round-by-round, blow-by-blow coverage of the entire UFC 247 fight card this weekend, starting with the Fight Pass/ESPN+ “Prelims” matches online, which are scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. ET, then the remaining undercard balance on ESPN at 8 p.m. ET, before the PPV main card start time at 10 p.m. ET on ESPN+.
