Corey Anderson will look to solidify his spot as the next contender for Jon Jones with a second win over Jan Blachowicz this Saturday night (Feb., 15, 2020) at UFC Fight Night 167 in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, only on ESPN+.

As expected, both men were content with keeping the action on the feet hoping to score a big shot and eventual knockout. After a feeling out process in the opening minute, Anderson tagged Walker with a huge overhand right that rocked the Brazilian bomber. He then followed it up with a vicious left hand that dropped Walker.

But the punishment didn’t end there, as Anderson pounded on hi fallen foe to deliver some ground-and-pound, and was relentless with his attack as Walker got back to his feet. After scoring a takedown, Anderson once again piled on the punches. Once back on the feet, Corey was determined to not let up, clipping Walker with uppercuts that had Johnny on wobbly legs.

Eventually, Anderson delivered one-too-many blows for the referee’s liking, which resulted in a first-round stoppage from a highly-motivated and heated Anderson. After the win, Corey was adamant he had done enough to earn a shot at Jones, though the fight eventually went to Dominick Reyes.

And the rest, as they say, is history.

Nevertheless, Anderson will once again try to prove his championship worth when he faces a tough Polish brawler who knows a thing or three about knockouts, as well.
