Conor McGregor will be watching closely later tonight (Sat., Feb. 29, 2020) at UFC Fight Night 169 live on ESPN+ from inside Chartway Arena in Norfolk, Virginia, as perennial flyweight contender Joseph Benavidez makes his push for a world title in a main event clash with Deiveson Figueiredo.

Taking notice of Benavidez’s preparation and dedication is none other than former UFC champion Conor McGregor. “Notorious” has recently been engaged with everything UFC has going on and that happens to include this weekend’s Fight Night event in Norfolk.

McGregor showed his support for Benavidez, and wife Megan Olivi, during a Twitter post earlier today.

“Excited for the UFC tonight! Wishing @JoeJitsu and his wife @MeganOlivi a big good luck in their quest at UFC gold tonight! Good luck guys,” wrote McGregor.

With experience and skill to match his professionalism, Benavidez may be the most deserving contender in the flyweight division to fight for the title. But that doesn’t mean “Joe B-Wan Kenobi” will walk away with the win tonight. Figueiredo is a true killer and will make Benavidez work for every ounce of success.

Let’s see if McGregor’s Irish luck rubs off on Team Benavidez later tonight at UFC Norfolk.
