Get hyped for the upcoming lightweight title fight between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson with this pulse increasing promo direct from the UFC.

It’s the most anticipated fight in UFC history.

That’s the tagline being used for the big Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Tony Ferguson fight set to (hopefully) go down at UFC 249 on April 18th in New York City. And we have to agree: the fight stands on its own as a battle between the best of the best at lightweight, and once you factor in all the times it has fallen through the match-up has almost become mythical.

We’re now just over one month away from finally seeing this bout, and the UFC is doing its best to hype you up without spooking you out regarding the semi-cursed nature of Khabib vs. Ferguson. Therefore let’s not drag up all that ‘four times cancelled’ biz and just underscore how much we all wanted to see the fight each time.

This promo does a great job of that: lots of excellent highlights, Khabib mean-mugging, and Tony Ferguson hijinx. If it wasn’t for the looming threat of a Coronavirus lockdown, I’d be feeling pretty confident about everything working out this time!

So let’s all cross our fingers and hope everything falls into place. Khabib makes weight. Tony doesn’t trip on any cables. The world doesn’t descend into full on pandemic control mode. Or at the very least if it does, the UFC still broadcasts Nurmagomedov vs. Ferguson on ESPN+ live from an empty arena in Brooklyn regardless.
