Video: Patricio Freire, Pedro Carvalho heat things up at Bellator 241 faceoffs

UNCASVILLE, Conn. – The weigh-ins are in the books for Bellator 241 and the featherweight tournament fighters atop the card are official for their matchups.

Thursday, the fighters made weight at the official weigh-ins, then got together for faceoffs at the ceremonial weigh-ins for fans just outside Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. That venue hosts Friday’s event, which has a main card on DAZN following prelims on MMA Junkie.

Check out the main card ceremonial weigh-in and faceoff highlights in the video above, including featherweight and lightweight champion Patricio Freire (30-4 MMA, 18-4 BMMA) and challenger Pedro Carvalho (11-3 MMA, 4-0 BMMA), as well as Emmanuel Sanchez (19-4 MMA, 11-3 BMMA) vs. Daniel Weichel (40-11 MMA, 9-3 BMMA).

Those two fights are quarterfinal bouts in the ongoing featherweight grand prix. In addition, Freire’s 145-pound title is on the line against Carvalho.
