Jon Jones was arrested last week in Albuquerque, New Mexico for Driving While Intoxicated, having an open container and negligent use of a firearm. And earlier today (Tues., March 31, 2020) “Bones” received his sentence.

According to TMZ, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight champion of the world struck a deal with prosecutors that will get him one year of supervised probation. That being said, a judge still has to approve the sentence before it’s official.

Furthermore, Jones will have to complete 90 days of outpatient treatment via video conference, pay some fines and complete 48 hours of community service. Plus, he will have an ignition interlock device installed in his vehicle that will require him to pass a breathalyzer test before the cars starts.

In addition, Jones will have to serve 96 hours in a community custody program (house arrest), which means he will have to wear an ankle monitor to assure officials he does not leave the house without asking for permission first. Taking quarantine to another level.

Should “Bones” fail to comply with any part of his sentence, State officials will seek jail time for the remaining balance, according to the report. Furthermore, his probation does not forbid him from smoking marijuana if he has a valid medical card for it.

If you recall, Jones was hit with a monetary fine and had his license suspended for six months for his DWI in 2012. Three years later, Jones plead guilty and received supervised probation for a hit-and-run accident. He was also suspended by UFC and stripped of his 205-pound title in that instance.

The promotion has yet to issue any further statements regarding Jon’s status as its light heavyweight champion.
