No weekend would complete without a Conor McGregor knockout video, right?

Well, Mania has you covered as Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has released McGregor’s clash with Chad Mendes at UFC 189 back in 2015. The contest was held for the interim featherweight title and saw “Notorious” get rid of Mendes via second-round TKO (punches).

Despite the calculated and patented finish, McGregor had some trouble with “Money” in the early going. Not only did Mendes take McGregor down and score valuable top time in Round 1, but the Team Alpha Male standout ended up forming a cut on the Irishman’s right eye. Mendes also threatened to end the fight via guillotine choke with over one minute left in the second.

When it was all said and done McGregor was able to use front kicks to the body and straight punches to soften Mendes up and connect with the final left hand along the cage.

McGregor, 31, would go on to capture the undisputed UFC featherweight title with a 13-second knockout finish of Jose Aldo at UFC 194. After that, “Notorious” battled Nate Diaz twice at 170 pounds before becoming the first fighter ever to simultaneously hold two UFC titles after knocking out Eddie Alvarez to win the 155-pound strap at UFC 205.

In 2020, McGregor is hoping to use a recent 40-second TKO finish over Donald Cerrone to land himself another UFC title shot. Although he may have to win one more fight to get there.
