Collin Huckbody vs. Kyron Bowen in the works for Dana White’s Contender Series on Aug. 25

A middleweight fight is in the works for Dana White’s Contender Series this summer

The UFC is working on a fight pairing North Star Combat middleweight champion Collin Huckbody against MMAX FC welterweight champion Kyron Bowen on Aug. 25 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

Multiple people with knowledge of the situation informed MMA Junkie of the targeted booking Thursday but asked to remain anonymous as the promotion has yet to make an official announcement.

The Aug. 25 installment of DWCS, Season 4 will be the fourth episode. The season kicks off Aug. 4 and is expected to run for 10 episodes.

Huckbody (7-2 MMA), a 25-year-old Canadian fighter, is riding a four-fight winning streak. A professional since March 2017, Huckbody has five submissions in seven victories. His only career losses have come to current UFC middleweight Bevon Lewis and LFA veteran J.P. Saint Louis.

Bowen (9-4 MMA) has won seven straight fights – all inside the distance. In fact, all but one of Bowen’s pro fights have ended in a finish. Bowen, 26, holds five knockouts and four submissions.
