Preview: A Champion Will Be Crowned!

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is just a few hours away from kicking off its UFC Fight Island 2 mixed martial arts (MMA) event, topped by a flyweight championship rematch between Top 5 contenders Deiveson Figueiredo and Joseph Benavidez. The action gets underway TONIGHT (Sat., July 18, 2020) on Fight Island (Yas Island) in Abu Dhabi.

The promotion tried (and failed) to get it done in the UFC Norfolk main event earlier this year in “Old Dominion” but Figueiredo missed weight — badly — and was ruled ineligible to claim the flyweight strap. Then came a headbutt, a knockout, and a promise to do it all over again.
