Knockout! Watch Daukaus Impress With TKO In UFC Debut

Heavyweight newcomer Chris Daukaus gave fight fans their first finish earlier tonight (Sat., Aug. 15, 2020) at UFC 252 live on ESPN+ pay-per-view (PPV) from inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, as the Philadelphia native steamrolled veteran Parker Porter via first-round TKO (punches and knee).

Despite this being Daukaus’ Octagon debut, the 30-year-old prospect wasted little time getting loose. His punches were lightning fast and found their home in bunches as Daukaus started to tag Porter during every exchange. Porter survived as long as he could before Daukaus ended him with a brutal combination along the cage, which was capped off with a powerful knee.

With this performance, Daukaus enters the UFC’s growing heavyweight division in fashion, finishing a veteran of the sport in the process. Daukaus had five first-round finishes on his record coming into this affair, but his performance opened eyes nonetheless. Considering this was a short debut look for the heavyweight to make another appearance in the coming months.
