Lightweight contender Alexander Hernandez looked better than ever earlier tonight (Sat., Oct. 31, 2020) at UFC Vegas 12 live on ESPN+ from inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, when he steamrolled veteran fighter Chris Gruetzemacher via first-round knockout (punches).

Hernandez came out incredibly confident and comfortable inside of the cage despite coming off a recent TKO loss to Drew Dober back in May. After landing a big head kick that put Gruetzemacher in trouble Hernandez was able to score perfectly-timed punches along the cage that did serious damage. Gruetzemacher ate a few of them before falling to the canvas and suffering his first career knockout loss.

With this performance, Hernandez gets back into the win column at 155 pounds and proves he’s ready to make another push towards the top 15. “The Great” has come a long way since knocking out Beneil Dariush in his Octagon debut almost three years ago and seems to be putting everything together at the perfect time.
