Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is gearing up to stage the ESPN+-streamed UFC Vegas 15 event this Saturday (Nov. 28, 2020), which is set to go down inside UFC APEX right in the heart of Las Vegas, Nevada.

The event will be headliniend by a highly-anticipated Heavyweight fight between former title contender, Derrick Lewis, and wrestling powerhouse, Curtis Blaydes. The two men have been trading jabs though the media for some time now, but now it’s time to settle it inside the Octagon.

Before the two men get it on in the center of the cage, let’s look back at “Black Beast’s” most previous fight against Aleksei Oleinik at UFC Vegas 6 this past August. From the jump, Lewis came out aggressive throwing a heavy head kick followed by a strong right hand that had Oleinik reeling. A few moments later, “The Boa Constrictor” was on his back thanks to a takedown from the heavy-handed big man.

It was a move that didn’t work out to well for Lewis in the beginning as Oleinik is one of the most decorated jiu-jitsu practitioners in the division. Indeed. Lewis found himself fending off several submission attempts from Aleksei, and eventually manages to escape the round.

In round two, Lewis once again came out aggressive by attempting a flying knee and quickly followed it up by a vicious right hand that dropped Oleinik. 20 follow up shots later, and Herb Dean was putting an end to the punishment, giving Lewis his third straight win.

With the victory, Lewis broke the record for most knockouts in UFC’s Heavyweight history with 11. Now, “Black Beast” will look to earn himself another shot at the 265-pound title if he can take out Blaydes in “Sin City.”
