Demetrious Johnson, ONE Championship featured in latest MMA Bobblehead

Former UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson and his signature fist-pump celebration have been captured in the latest MMA Bobblehead custom figurine.

MMA Bobblehead CEO and founder Dave Manley today announced the new release during an Instagram Live chat with “Mighty Mouse.”

According to Manley, the photo used for his design was from Johnson’s 2019 ONE Championship flyweight grand prix quarterfinal submission win over Yuya Wakamatsu. Johnson would go on to pick up decisions over Tatsumitsu Wada and Danny Kingad to claim the grand prix title.

Manley said he is making a limited amount of just 500 of the bobbleheads, which also include the ONE Championship logo and ONE Championship flyweight grand prix title belt on the packaging, and is selling them through the MMA Bobblehead official website. Miniature Christmas ornaments featuring Johnson are also available.

Johnson (30-3-1), who is ranked No. 1 in the USA TODAY Sports/MMA Junkie flyweight rankings, as well as No. 4 in the pound-for-pound list, returns to action on Feb. 24 to challenge reigning ONE Championship titleholder Adriano Moraes for the promotion’s flyweight title.

Johnson represents the 13th MMA personality included in the MMA Bobblehead line. Previous editions of the handmade figurines featured have featured Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone, Nick Diaz, Derrick Lewis, Jorge Masvidal and Miesha Tate, among others.
