Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) “it” girl Paige VanZant made the move from mixed martial arts (MMA) to the world of bareknuckle boxing earlier this year, and now it’s time for “12 Gauge” to show off her stuff.

VanZant announced via Instagram that she had signed her contract to fight on Feb. 5, 2021, with MMA Fighting reporting that her opponent will be Britain Hart.

“I think it’s really going to be a really good coming out party for Paige’s debut and for BKFC in general to be around the mainstream sports media,” BKFC President David Feldman told MMA Fighting earlier this year.

“Every sports media in the world will be there, and I think we’re going to get the attention of a lot of them that weekend. It’s going to be a great weekend for us and a great debut for Paige VanZant.”

As far as hart is concerned, she is 1-2 in her BKFC career with losses to Bec Rawlings and Christine Ferea. Her lone win in the bareknuckle arena came against Randine Elkholm last month. All told, her boxing record (bareknuckle included) is 2-6-2.

As for Paige, she ended her UFC career with a 1-3 mark in her last four fights, losing to Amanda Ribas via first round submission in her final fight for the world’s leading MMA promotion at UFC 251 this past summer.
