Dustin Poirier bracing himself for ‘Hot Ones’ appearance this week

Dustin Poirier’s fighting skills are good. We know that much. But how does he take a punch to the palate?

As a Louisiana native with his own hot sauce brand, we’d imagine pretty good. We’ll find out for sure on Thursday, however, when the former interim UFC lightweight champion – fresh off a knockout of Conor McGregor at UFC 257 – appears on “Hot Ones” with host Sean Evans.

Poirier’s spot on the show will stream at 11 a.m. ET on the “First We Feast” YouTube channel (via Twitter):

“The Diamond” told MMA Junkie following his win over McGregor that he’s keeping his options open in regards to the next fight.

He wants to be the undisputed UFC lightweight champion, but said he’s willing to “step back” if the right fight isn’t made atop the division.

For now, though, he’ll continue to enjoy life after beating McGregor with an appearance on a the popular “Hot Ones.”

The Blue Corner is MMA Junkie’s blog space. We don’t take it overly serious, and neither should you. If you come complaining to us that something you read here is not hard-hitting news, expect to have the previous sentence repeated in ALL CAPS.
