UFC free fight: Derrick Lewis breaks record for most KOs in UFC heavyweight history

Derrick Lewis’s returns to the cage Saturday at UFC Fight Night 185. His last performance set a record in the UFC heavyweight division.

The former UFC title challenger became the man with the most knockouts in divisional history after recording his 11th octagon stoppage. Lewis (24-7 MMA, 15-5 UFC) picked up the record-setting finish back in August, putting away veteran Aleksei Oleinik in the second round of their main event clash at UFC Fight Night 174 in Las Vegas.

Six months later, Lewis takes on Curtis Blaydes (14-2 MMA, 9-2 UFC) on Feb. 20 in the headlining act of UFC Fight Night 185. It’s a key heavyweight bout as it pits two top-five UFC heavyweights against one other. Blaydes, who’s ranked No. 2 in the UFC’s official rankings, is on a four-fight winning streak.
