UFC 259 free fight: Amanda Nunes steamrolls Ronda Rousey in first bantamweight title defense

Amanda Nunes needed less than a minute to dispatch of the returning Ronda Rousey.

In her first title defense, bantamweight champion Nunes faced former 135-pound queen Rousey in the UFC 207 main event in December 2016.

It was Rousey’s first fight in more than a year after tasting defeat for the first time when she was dethroned by Holly Holm in a massive upset knockout loss. But Nunes showed her no mercy in her return and charged at her as soon as the fight started.

Nunes connected with a few overhand rights and backed Rousey to the corner. She then poured it on with big shots and rendered Rousey defenseless and out on her feet just 48 seconds in.

Dual-champ Nunes (20-4 MMA, 13-1 UFC) returns to action when she defends her featherweight title against Megan Anderson (10-4 MMA, 3-2 UFC) in the UFC 259 co-main event Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN and early prelims on ESPN+.

Before she faces Anderson, relive Nunes’ finish of Rousey in the video above.
