UFC 262 adds Jamie Pickett vs. Jordan Wright to lineup
Jamie Pickett and Jordan Wright have been booked to fight.
The two middleweight fighters are set to square off May 15 at UFC 262 at a location and venue that hasn’t been publicly announced.
Two people with knowledge of the matchup confirmed the booking to MMA Junkie on Monday but asked to remain anonymous as the promotion has yet to make an official announcement.
Upon his third try on Dana White’s Contender Series, Pickett (11-5 MMA, 0-1 UFC) finally earned a UFC deal. He made his promotional debut Dec. 19 at UFC Fight Night 183, when he lost a unanimous decision to Tafon Nchukwi.
Meanwhile, Wright (11-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) has split his octagon appearances to date. After he stopped Ike Villanueva due to a cut 91 seconds into his UFC debut, Wright was finished by strikes at the hands of Joaquin Buckley in his sophomore promotional outing.
With the addition, the UFC 262 lineup includes:
