Defining Fights: UFC 260 headliner Francis Ngannou

Heavyweight wrecking machine Francis Ngannou fell short in his first bid for a UFC title. Now he’s back and ready to gain revenge over the man who stopped him last time.

Ngannou (15-3 MMA, 10-3 MMA) will take on UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic in the main event of UFC 260, which takes place Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN.

The bout is a rematch of their title tussle at UFC 220 where, after a crazy first round, Miocic (20-3 MMA, 14-3 UFC) dominated the bout en route to a landslide decision victory. But since that fight, Ngannou has gone back to the drawing board, improved his game, and has left a trail of destruction in his wake as he has surged back into the No. 1 contender spot. Now he’s ready to face Miocic again.

Ahead of the eagerly awaited heavyweight title rematch, let’s take a look back at six of the key bouts that helped define Ngannou’s UFC career to date.
