If Jake Paul isn’t willing to try MMA, it seems that boxers are now lining up for a chance to shut the brash YouTuber’s mouth, as well.
Former WBA, WBO, WBC boxing champ Hassan N’Dam took exception to Paul’s recent criticism of Dana White and penned an open letter to the UFC president, which he delivered to MMA Junkie.
“It is unacceptable that a YouTuber like Jake Paul and his brother Logan could come and talk and disrespect a great personality like Dana, who promotes combat sport,” N’Dam stated. “So following Jake’s message, I would like to challenge him, whether it is in boxing or MMA. Either way, I would like to kick his ass.”
The 37-year-old N’Dam twice represented Cameroon in the Olympics. As a professional boxer, he owns an impressive 37-5 career record, built largely while competing in France, though he’s also fought at such famed global arenas as New York’s Madison Square Garden and Barclays Center, England’s Manchester Arena and Bell Centre in Montreal.
N’Dam boxed most recently in December 2019, suffering a decision loss to Fedor Chudinov in Russia in a failed bid for the vacant WBA gold super-middleweight (168 pounds) title.
Prior to the ongoing global pandemic, N’Dam was expected to make his professional MMA debut with ARES FC, though that upstart promotion has been forced on hiatus as a response to COVID-19.
But after Paul (3-0 boxing) recently labeled White a “douche,” N’Dam decided he had seen enough and has volunteered himself for either a cage or a squared circle – and he’ll take either of the brash Paul brothers.
“Dana White, let me kick his pretentious little ass,” N’Dam wrote. “I’ll donate some of the money to charity. Jake, boxing is an art. Come face a real champion, and I will teach you a lesson.
“Logan, come get your brother and go back to Mickey’s house to make your videos on social networks and respect the true athletes of this sport. I’ll take you in boxing or MMA. Just give me the place and the date. I’ll take you first, and then settle your brother’s account just after.”
