Cezar Ferreira wants to test striking skills against Chris Camozzi at 2021 PFL 5: ‘I’m looking for a knockout’

Riding high from his big knockout over Nick Roehrick, Cezar Ferreira is aiming for another highlight-reel finish.

Ferreira (14-8) landed in the top spot of the light heavyweight standings when he needed just 37 seconds to put Roehrick away, his first knockout win since 2011.

The third-degree jiu-jitsu blackbelt is looking to show off more of his hands when he takes on former Glory kickboxer Chris Camozzi (25-15) at 2021 PFL 5 and he’s hunting for another stoppage win.

“I feel so good in this weight division because I want to try and finish every single fight,” Ferreira said at the pre-fight news conference. “Chris Camozzi is a guy that I have a lot of respect for. We were supposed to fight in 2013 and now is the time. He has very good striking skills, and I want to put my striking skills against his. I’m looking for a knockout.”

He continued, “I like the matchup because his style matches my style. People are looking for entertainment, and I believe that this is gonna be the fight that entertains people. Forget about strategies and boring fights, let’s give to the fans what they want to see. They want to see blood, let’s go.”

2021 PFL 5 takes place Thursday at Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City, N.J. The main card airs on ESPN2 following prelims on ESPN+.
