New Rankings! Vettori Slips To No. 4, Moreno Cracks P4P List

Marvin Vettori lost to Israel Adesanya in the UFC 263 pay-per-view (PPV) main event back on June 12 in Glendale and as a result, lost his place in the 185-pound rankings. “The Italian Dream” is now seated at No. 4 behind power-punching middleweight Jared Cannonier.

As for “The Last Stylebender,” he’s up one spot on the pound-for-pound (P4P) chart, where newly-crowned flyweight kingpin Brandon Moreno debuted at No. 12. Former champion Deiveson Figueiredo drops off the P4P list and slips one place at 125 pounds.

Here’s how UFC compiles its “official” rankings:

Rankings were generated by a voting panel made up of media members. The media members were asked to vote for who they feel are the top fighters in the UFC by weight-class and pound-for-pound. A fighter is only eligible to be voted on if they are in active status in the UFC. A fighter can appear in more than one weight division at a time. The champion and interim champion are considered to be in the top positions of their respective divisions and therefore are not eligible for voting by weight-class. However, the champions can be voted on for the pound-for-pound rankings.

Take a look at what the latest rankings field looks like courtesy of UFC.com. Note: (+/- = movement in rankings, T = tie, *NR = Not previously ranked).
