Video: Were PFL’s high-profile free agent acquisitions money well spent?

The PFL wraps up its 2021 regular season this Friday night, and the high-profile free agents brought in this season have gone through quite a bumpy ride.

Former UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis will see his fate determined against Raush Manfio after losing his season opener to Clay Collard. Former Bellator welterweight champ Rory MacDonald is in the playoffs but was handed quite a dubious loss last week against Gleison Tibau. And we don’t know what the future holds for former UFC heavyweight champ Fabricio Werdum after his TKO loss in May was changed to a no contest.

One thing is clear: PFL made quite the investment in these fighters. Was it money well spent, or has this season proven to be a disaster? Our “Spinning Back Clique” panel of Nolan King, Danny Segura and Matthew Wells weighed in with host John Morgan in this week’s episode.
