Conor McGregor keeps mentioning Dustin Poirier’s wife, Jolie Poirier, but “The Diamond” thinks Conor has enough problems with the ring on his finger.

Dustin Poirier says Conor McGregor has too much trouble in paradise to worry about Poirier’s marriage with his wife, Jolie Poirier.

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) stars Poirier and McGregor will settle their trilogy at UFC 264, which takes place inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, this weekend (Sat., July 10, 2021) and streams online via ESPN+ pay-per-view (PPV). McGregor made a point of prodding Poirier about the latter’s wife both at Thursday’s pre-fight press conference and early into fight week (read it).

During Thursday’s presser, McGregor made bizarre remarks about Poirier’s wife being a husband … and vice-versa.

“It made him less powerful because he’s talking silly stuff about my wife,” Poirier told ESPN (h/t LowKick MMA). “She’s my husband or something? What the f—k are you talking about? He shouldn’t even be talking about marriages with the s—t he’s out there doing.”

Poirier did not specify what McGregor has been doing; however, “The Notorious” one has been accused of infidelity and sexual assault in the past. It was reported by The New York Times in March 2019 that McGregor was under investigation by Irish police following allegations of a sexual assault on a woman in a Dublin hotel in Dec. 2019. A second allegation of sexual assault was reported in Oct. 2019. Prosecutors declined to prosecute McGregor in Jan. 2021. In Sept. 2020, McGregor was arrested in Corsica on suspicion of attempted sexual assault and indecent exposure in an alleged bar incident. He was released without charge after two days in custody and French authorities dropped the investigation eight months later.

McGregor has also been in the public eye in the past for getting physical with referee Marc Goddard at Bellator 187, throwing a dolly through a bus at UFC 223 fight week, taking and smashing a person’s phone, punched a man in a Dublin pub and caught speeding in Rathcoole, County Dublin. You can watch UFC fighters react to McGregor’s wildest moments in the video below.
