Video: Does Conor McGregor have anybody to blame but himself for leg injury (and UFC 264 loss)?

More than a week later, and Conor McGregor remains a big point of discussion after revealing that he had injuries heading into UFC 264 where lost by doctor stoppage TKO to Dustin Poirier.

McGregor has claimed that he stepped into the octagon with stress fractures in the leg he ultimately broke in the final seconds of Round 1 after planting his foot onto the canvas. The Nevada Athletic Commission has denied having any knowledge of this, while the UFC remained quiet all week long until Dana White told FOX News about McGregor having chronic arthritis in his ankles.

For a lot of people, the sudden revelation of pre-existing injuries was seen as an excuse, while for plenty of others it changes the perception of the fight after McGregor lost the first round on all three judges’ scorecards, including a pair of 10-8s.

So much to unpack here, but based on what we know now, what’s the biggest takeaway from this situation? Our “Spinning Back Clique” panel of Brian “Goze” Garcia, Nolan King and Danny Segura shared their thoughts with hos John Morgan.

You can watch their discussion in the video above and check out this week’s full episode below.
