UPDATE

Per UFC officials (h/t ESPN), the welterweight matchup between Niklas Stolze and Jared Gooden has been added back onto the UFC Vegas 33 card.

— END OF UPDATE —

Another fight has been removed from tonight’s (Sat., July 31, 2021) UFC Vegas 33 card live on ESPN/ESPN+ from inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, as a welterweight bout between Niklas Stolze and Jared Gooden is being scrapped, per UFC officials (h/t Aaron Bronsteter).

It is unknown at this time why the Stolze vs. Gooden fight was removed from the card but UFC Vegas 33 will now proceed with just nine bouts. The co-main event between Rani Yahya and Kyung Ho Kang was scrapped just hours ago so a women’s strawweight clash between Cheyanne Buys and Gloria de Paula will now serve as the co-headliner.

These cancellations have been absolutely insane. UFC Vegas 33 is already going up against the stacked Bellator 263 card on Showtime so it needed as much fire power as possible. With two cancelled fights during official weigh ins yesterday and two additional fallouts today, UFC Vegas 33 is shaping up to be one of the weakest cards in recent memory.

The updated UFC Vegas 33 fight card lineup is as follows:

UFC Vegas 33 Main Event On ESPN/ESPN+:

185 lbs.: Uriah Hall vs. Sean Strickland

UFC Vegas 33 Main Card On ESPN/ESPN+ (9 p.m. ET):

115 lbs.: Cheyanne Buys vs. Gloria de Paula

170 lbs.: Niklas Stolze vs. Jared Gooden

170 lbs.: Bryan Barberena vs. Jason Witt

145 lbs.: Collin Anglin vs. Melsik Baghdasaryan

UFC Vegas 33 Prelims Card On ESPN/ESPN+ (6:00 p.m. ET):

155 lbs.: Rafa Garcia vs. Chris Gruetzemacher

145 lbs.: Danny Chavez vs. Kai Kamaka

115 lbs.: Jinh Yu Frey vs. Ashley Yoder

125 lbs.: Zarrukh Adashev vs. Ryan Benoit

170 lbs.: Orion Cosce vs. Phillip Rowe
