Broken Orbital Could Bench Hall Until January

Uriah Hall and Sean Strickland were each given a six-month vacation to recuperate from damage sustained in the UFC Vegas 33 main event, held at the promotion’s APEX facility last Sat. night (July 31) in Las Vegas, Nevada.

That’s where “Prime Time” dropped a unanimous decision to “Tarzan” after five rounds of middleweight action.

Elsewhere on the card, Jared Gooden could be riding the pine until January following his victory over Niklas Stolze, unless hand X-rays — and a doctor’s rubber stamp — afford “Nite Train” the opportunity to come back sooner.

Complete UFC Vegas 33 medical suspensions (courtesy MixedMartialArts.com) includes:

Just a quick reminder: Fighters often return to action much quicker once doctors give them the green light. The lengthy suspensions are just a precaution in most cases. In addition, not all injuries are recorded during the post-fight examination and often times surface in follow-up tests.
