Jake Paul was accused of using performance-enhancing drugs ahead of his Tyron Woodley boxing match, which took place late last month on Showtime pay-per-view (PPV) from inside Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, Ohio.

“I hate to say it, but I definitely think Jake Paul is going to be on PEDs,” longtime MMA coach Firas Zahabi said before the fight. “It exists in the world of boxing, just like it exists in MMA. And I don’t think Tyron will be on PEDs. I think Tyron will be totally natural.”

Turns out six fighters from the “Forest City” fight card tested negative for banned substances, according to Ohio Athletic Commission executive director Bernie Profato (via MMA Fighting), including both Paul and Woodley.

“The Problem Child” topped “The Chosen One” by “embarrassing” split decision.

Also passing their respective drug tests were Amanda Serrano, Yamileth Mercado, Charles Conwell and Juan Carlos Rubio. Serrano retained her WBC, WBO, and IBO featherweight titles with a dominant decision win over Mercado, while Conwell scored a third-round technical knockout victory over Rubio in super welterweight action.

Paul is expected to make his return to the “sweet science” at some point in 2022, likely against boxing upstart Tommy “TNT” Fury. That might come as a big disappointment to former UFC champ Vitor Belfort, who is under the impression his next fight for Triller is worth a whopping $40 million.

Oscar De La Hoya, meanwhile, remains the odd man out.
