Arman Tsarukyan goes off on ‘bullsh*t’ Dan Hooker: ‘I want to kill this guy’

LAS VEGAS – Arman Tsarukyan made it clear he doesn’t like fellow UFC lightweight Dan Hooker.

The Armenian fighter went out of his way to call out Hooker during Wednesday’s media day for UFC Fight Night 192. Tsarukyan (16-2 MMA, 3-1 UFC) is set to take on Christos Giagos (19-8 MMA, 5-4 UFC) on Saturday on the main card.

Tsarukyan hopes to get through Giagos and then fight Hooker, who’s scheduled to compete next week at UFC 266.

“I want to fight with Dan Hooker if he wins next Saturday,” Tsarukyan told reporters. “I want to beat this guy. He speaks a lot of bad words to me and I want to kill this guy. He’s a bullsh*t guy.

“It’s a good fight for me because he’s famous, he’s ranked, and if I beat him, I can get top five – and from there, it’s easy to get a title shot.”

Apart from his desire to cross paths with Hooker, Tsarukyan discussed the matchup with Giagos, his weight cut for Saturday’s bout, and more.

UFC Fight Night 192 takes place Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The card streams on ESPN+.
