Mandy Bohm sees herself as a more well-rounded fighter than Ariane Lipski: ‘Her grappling is not the best’

LAS VEGAS – Mandy Bohm thinks Ariane Lipski’s past two losses have shown a chink in her armor.

Bohm (7-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) makes her promotional debut when she takes on former KSW champion Lipski (13-7 MMA, 2-4 UFC) on Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 192 main card and is confident she has more tools to win the fight.

Although Lipski has numerous submission wins on her resume, “The Violence Queen” was dominated on the ground in back-to-back losses to Antonina Shevchenko and Montana De La Rosa, which the unbeaten Bohm has taken notice of.

“Ariane Lipski – I know her very well because I always have an eye on the whole division,” Bohm said at a pre-fight news conference Wednesday. “Also, she was a former KSW champ, so it’s very popular in the European end. Yes, I’m pumped for this fight. She’s a good name – solid striking, good team, and I’m happy to fight her.

“I think I’m the more well-rounded fighter in this matchup. Her striking is very good, but you also saw in her last fights she has weak points. Her wrestling or her grappling is not the best. But in this matchup, I’ll just step in and perform because I also believe in my striking. I think I have good striking, good standup, and we’ll see what happens. I’m very confident and happy to be there.”

UFC Fight Night 192 takes place Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The card streams on ESPN+.
