Luis Pena Accused Of Punching Two Women Before Arrest
Luis Pena is the latest UFC fighter to face domestic violence charges.
Pena, 28, was arrested by Deerfield Beach Police in Florida on Saturday, according to MMA Fighting. In an update, the publication reports that Pena — known by his nickname “Violent Bob Ross” — allegedly attacked his partner and a second woman who allegedly tried to intervene.
The UFC fighter allegedly struck his partner “multiple times with a closed fist” and knocked her to the ground, according to a probable cause affidavit from Broward County court database. He allegedly continued to strike her, leaving minor abrasions on the top of her left hand, left wrist and “an alleged bite mark to her left knee region.”
A female witness allegedly intervened and was also attacked by Pena. The professional fighter (9-3) reportedly knocked her to the ground with a closed fight, causing a purple contusion and laceration to the witness’ elbow.
Pena was previously arrested in June on charges of robbery, battery and criminal mischief for allegedly assaulting his partner. He was also accused of domestic battery from an alleged incident in May; however, the woman filed an affidavit signalling she didn’t want to move forward with the previous two cases.
It appears Pena posted the $6,000 bond for his release.
