“The Carpenter” is back as UFC adds Clay Guida vs. Leonardo Santos to its lineup.

Veteran Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fighter Clay Guida is headed back to the Octagon.

Guida vs. Leonardo Santos has been added to the UFC Fight Night card headlined by Rob Font vs. Jose Aldo, taking place inside the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nev. on Sat., Dec. 4 via ESPN+. MMA Fighting confirmed the fight following an Instagram post published by Guida.

“The Carpenter” is in search of his first winning streak since 2017; meanwhile, Santos looks to avoid the first losing streak of his professional career. Guida (36-21) will make his 32nd promotional appearance, and 57th pro fight overall, when he meets fellow veteran Santos (18-4-1). Interestingly, Santos actually debuted one year before Guida — losing via majority decision to a 10-0 Takanori Gomi — despite having half of Guida’s pro bouts.

Guida is coming off a split decision loss to Mark O. Madsen in August. Prior to that, Guida beat Michael Johnson via unanimous decision to snap a two-year-long losing kid.

Santos suffered a technical knockout (TKO) loss to Grant Dawson in the final second (watch highlights) of their March 20, 2021 clash, snapping an eight-fight undefeated skid against the likes of Kevin Lee, Stevie Ray and Adriano Martins.

The UFC Vegas card also boasts Rafael Fiziev vs. Brad Riddell, Matt Brown vs. Bryan Barberena, Jimmy Crute vs. Jamahal Hill, and Brad Tavares vs. Brendan Allen.
