Vettori, Costa Facing Six-Month Suspensions

Top 5 middleweights Marvin Vettori and Paulo Costa are facing a pair of six-month medical suspensions following their five-round war atop the UFC Vegas 41 event last Sat. night (Oct. 23) inside the promotion’s APEX facility in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Vettori captured a unanimous decision victory over “The Eraser.”

Just a quick reminder: Fighters often return to action much quicker once doctors give them the green light. The lengthy suspensions are just a precaution in most cases. In addition, not all injuries are recorded during the post-fight examination and often times surface in follow-up tests.
