The 33-year-old Buist is coming off a pair of losses in his most recent two bouts for ONE Championship. In November, he dropped a decision to Ruslan Emilbek. More than a year prior to that, he lost a decision to Timofey Nastyukhin.

But before those setbacks, Buist had an eight-fight winning streak that included three straight ONE wins – including a split decision over former ONE champion Eduard Folayang.

No date or opponent for his Bellator debut has been announced, but Buist posted on Instagram he would have news “coming very soon.”
