Video: Dustin Poirier-Conor McGregor rivalry took center stage in 2021. What about 2022?

For the first time since 2016, Conor McGregor fought twice in the octagon in a calendar, making the UFC’s biggest draw a huge reason for the promotion’s financial success.

McGregor returned to fight Dustin Poirier in January at UFC 257, losing by second-round knockout. That prompted a rematch six months later at UFC 264 where McGregor broke his leg at the end of the first round, resulting in an injury TKO win for Poirier.

The rivalry between Poirier and McGregor took center stage for a majority of 2021, so as we look back on the year, we ask: What did you make of it, and what does it mean for both men’s futures?

Our “Spinning Back Clique” panel of Mike Bohn, “Gorgeous” George Garcia, and Danny Segura answer that question with host John Morgan.
