Bellator 282 adds undefeated Lucas Brennan to lineup in Connecticut

Lucas Brennan is cruising thus far in his MMA career, and he’ll look to continue his streak of success with a win at Bellator 282.

In a featherweight bout on the preliminary card, Brennan (6-0 MMA, 6-0 BMMA) will take on Johnny Soto (4-2 MMA, 1-1 BMMA). The event takes place June 24 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., with the main card airing on Showtime after prelims on MMA Junkie.

A promotion official recently informed MMA Junkie of the booking.

Brennan, 21, is the son of former UFC fighter Chris Brennan. A member of the Bellator roster since he turned professional, Lucas Brennan has passed each test with flying colors. In six pro bouts, Brennan has finished five of six fights including four submissions and one stoppage due to strikes.

Soto, 29, will look to bounce back into the win column after a unanimous decision loss to Adil Benjilany at Bellator 262 in July. He was scheduled to fight Cody Law at Bellator 276 in March, but withdrew for undisclosed reasons.

  • Champion Gegard Mousasi vs. Johnny Eblen – for middleweight title
  • Enrique Barzola vs. Magomed Magomedov – bantamweight grand prix quarterfinal
  • Leandro Higo vs. Danny Sabatello – bantamweight grand prix quarterfinal
