Given how much mutual love there is between Donald Cerrone and the UFC, it largely may be a rhetorical question.

Is “Cowboy” destined for the UFC Hall of Fame? Cerrone (36-17 MMA, 23-14 UFC) made a surprise retirement this past Saturday at UFC 276 after a submission loss to Jim Miller (35-16 MMA, 24-15 UFC). Cerrone had indicated in June he planned to call it quits after he hit 50 combined walks to the cage in the UFC and WEC. His fight with Miller was his 48th.

Cerrone said he lost his love for fighting a while back, and with five straight losses, he knew it was time to walk away. Now he plans on making a run at Hollywood for more movie and TV roles.

Cerrone retired tied for the second most wins in UFC history (Miller broke a tie with him to move into the lead alone), tied for the second most finishes in UFC history, tied for the second most fights in UFC history, tied for the most post-fight bonuses in UFC history … he’s a proverbial legend, to be certain.

Still, without a title to his name, we had to ask our “Spinning Back Clique” panel of Brian “Goze” Garcia, Mike Bohn and Matthew Wells if Cerrone is a sure-fire UFC Hall of Famer – and how they’ll remember him most.

Check out their discussion in the video above, and don’t miss this week’s full episode below.
